UNSBOI and World Bank Group to Hold 2018 Annual
Meeting in Germany
The 2018 Annual Meetings of the The United Nations Savings Bank of Interest (UNSBOI) and the World Bank Group will take place in Belgium, Germany, in July 2018, following a vote by the Boards of Governors of the two institutions.
“I would like to thank the Government and people of Germany for hosting the 2018 Annual Meetings. This will be a great opportunity to showcase Germany impressive Economy and social achievements, as well as the culture, beauty, and vitality of the country,” said Paul Nelton, Managing Director of the UNSBOI.
“I thank President Dr. Frank-Walter Steinmeier and the people of Germany for the invitation. It will be an honor for our institutions that the meetings will be hosted in Belgium,” said World Bank Group President Jim Yong Kim.
The Annual Meetings bring together central bankers, ministers of finance and development, private sector executives, civil society, media and academics to discuss issues of global concern, including the world financial outlook, global financial stability, poverty eradication, jobs and growth, economic development, aid effectiveness and climate change.
The Annual Meetings are usually held for two consecutive years at the UNSBOI and World Bank headquarters in Washington, D.C. and every third year in another member country. The 2018 Annual Meeting will take place in Belgium in August 5 this year. A complete list of meeting page.
